South County League Board of Governors Meeting

Mizner Country Club

 

September 13, 2016

 

Meeting was called to order  at 8:09 AM by Pres. Chuck Milber. He thanked the members of Mizner Country Club for hosting a wonderful breakfast and warmly welcomed all the Governors.

 

Roll call was taken and all the clubs were present.

 

Past president in attendance was Jerry Rosenzweig and Paul Weiss.

 

Guests: Alan Leber, Wycliffe. Greg Benson, Captain Gleneagles. Howard Gladston, Captain Broken Sound. Dan Twer, Boca Woods. John Murtaug, Woodfield.

 

The minutes of last meeting were accepted without any additions or corrections.

 

Treasurer report: Richard North reported on our income and expenditures as noted below.

 

Opening Balance: $3,444.16

 

Check; Wycliffe Country Club $1,200.00 (Presidents Day Event)

 

New Balance $2,244.16

 

Committee Reports:

By-Laws and Rules: Jerry Rosenzweig announced rules have been submitted. He will distribute the proposed changes within two weeks.

 

Scheduling: A preliminary schedule has been sent to all Governors. Jay invited any concerns to be addressed as soon as possible.

 

PRESIDENT'S REPORT: Chuck present an uncontested slate of officers for the next year. It consists of.

President Michael Lapkin

Vice President Leonard Kerker

Treasurer Richard North

Secretary Lawrence Stone

 

The league Championship game will be held on September 21th at Hunter Run

President’s Day is on September 28th at Wycliffe Country Club. Bruce Brauner advises that no spikes are permitted in the dining room. Breakfast will be at 7:30 and Shotgun start at 8:30. Format to be determined

 

GOOD AND WELFARE: It was announced the passing of Ron Hames Governor at Woodfield Country Club. Bruce Brauner spoke suggesting the league pay a tribute to Howard Rosenbaum for his many years of doing the scoring and handicapping each week.
