South County League Board of Governors Meeting.
Delaire Country Club
December 8, 2015
President Chuck Milber called the meeting to order at 8:05 AM. He thanked Delaire Country Club for hosting our final breakfast of the year.
Roll Call: All clubs were in attendance with the exception of Boca West.
Chuck welcomed past Presidents Jerry Rosenzweig, Paul Weiss and Ron Masterman.
Guests: Mitch Heller(Mizner) introduced Harry Plonskier as a new captain. Sandy Cohen will be a new captain at Boca Lago. Seymour Horowitz welcomed Mike Rosenthal as new Captain at Polo and Max Baran introduced Alan Tarter as the Captain at Delaire.
All in attendence wished them congratulations.
Minutes of last meeting were approved.
Treasurer Report: 7/1/2015 Opening and closing Bank Balance remainsa at $1,927.08
Rich North suggested that the Champion trophy should be upgraded as the presnt one is 25 yrs old. There being no objections a new one will be obtained. Rich has asked that next years’s dues ($175) be submitted at the Feburary meeting.
Committee reports:
By-Laws and Rules:
Booklet: Jerry requested that all data sheets should be reviewed and corrections, if any, be forwarded to him as soon as possible.
Scoring and Handicap and Scheduling: Jay Levine stated that he sent out the new schedules and the league will be finished regular play by the end of July. The Playoffs will take place September 7th, 14, and the final on the 21st at Hunters Run. The president’s Day tournament will be hosted by Wycliffe on the 28th.
President's Report: Chucked reported that Bocaire and Boca County Clubs have withdrawn from the legue due to a paucity of players.
Old business: Two motions were re-introduced from the last meeting.

We move that in the upcoming years that the South County League championship match which is to be played on a neutral course shall be determined by having two clubs of the South County League be chosen on a rotational basis. One club will be the primary and the second will be an alternate in case the primary is in the finals. The primary and the alternate should come from the same division either Division A or Division B. –Mike Lapkin and Manny Newman

I move that the Governor’s meeting shedule for the year shall be as follows: Febuary, March, June, September, October, and December—Mike Lapkin and seconded by Jay Wiston.

Good and Welfare: We thanked Chuck for his efforts this year and Larry Stone for creating our terific website. We sadly report the passing of Art Savarick. He was a past President and an active participant in the league. Condolences will be sent to his family.
Happy Holidays were extended to all.
A motion for adjournment was made and seconded.
The next meeting will be held at Boca Pointe Country Club on February 9th 2016
