The issue of riding with your partner or opponent was discussed. The standard, according to the rules, is riding with an opponent. If both governors agree, riding with your partner is acceptable, but this should be agreed upon by the Monday before the match.

The rules chairman presented a clarification of the rule when a player is replaced after the Tuesday at 3:00 pm deadline by adding the following sentence to the current rule: “If a front tee alternate replaces a back tee drop out, the replacement will play from the back tee and all the above rules apply. If a back tee alternate replaces a front tee drop out, the replacement will play from the back tees, and he will get the adjustment for the course rating for the different tees. All of the above rules will apply.”

The 80% rule was discussed, and, by vote, will not change for the remainder of this year.

Discussion of the standard breakfast resulted in maintaining the status quo.

President Levine reminded everyone to make sure that the host club sends a copy of the score sheet to the visiting club’s governor.

The decision was made, after some discussion, that the host pro shop will enter all scores for both clubs in the GHIN system after a match.
