PRESIDENT'S REPORT:
The President announced that we need two teams from division A to volunteer for the neutral site for the finals. He has talked to Bocaire, Boca Grove, and the Falls about possibly hosting the finals.
He brought up the issue of neutral sites for the semi finals. That idea was rejected by the governors.
He mentioned that Seagate might consider being a member of the league.
Mike expressed concern about the finals being on the day of the eve of the Jewish holidays. He suggested considering moving it to the Monday or Tuesday of that week or moving it up a week. The issue was tabled until the next meeting.
The President also said he was concerned that some of our young, low handicap players are being discouraged by the number of strokes that they have to give up in matches and encouraged governors to talk to each other to try to set up appropriate low handicap matches.
He asked that the governors get their April 1 handicap list back to Jay Levine as soon as possible.’
He brought up the issue as to whether we should print a limited number of booklets. The governors decided to proceed as usual with booklets for all.
