Minutes of Meeting December 9, 2025 at Hunters Run
Meeting called to order at 8:30 am
Roll call taken and all clubs represented.
New governors/captains introduced.
Minutes of last meeting approved.
Discussions regarding the suggested rule changes from the executive committee were held. All recommendations passed, some with modifications outlined below:
1) Handicap index differential- differential now 8
2) Tee selection- members can still play the tee box of their choice
3) Cut off time for changes to lineups now noon instead of 3pm
Tuesday.
4) Cart path policy now states that in case of CPO before the match
begins, if both governors agree that they can play the match, they
must comply with the number of matches required as the minimum for that time of season (8 in the first half of the season, 6 in the second half). If both governors do not agree, or they can’t provide the requisite number of matches, which cannot be waived, it is considered a rain out.
5) Official match- all matches must now have completed 9 holes, and then all matches shall be declared official as they stand at that point. This rule cannot be waived.
6) Forfeit-Forfeiting an individual match will result in no points for the forfeiting team and the teams weekly average at the time for the
opponents. The match will count as a match in the denominator in calculating the average score.
If two players from different matches cancel at the last minute, they
may play together, resulting in forfeit of only one match instead of
having both play as singles. They must comply with the 8 index
differential rule by adjusting the higher indexed player if necessary.
7) Rescheduling- governors can reschedule matches if appropriate
times can be found.
8) Score sheets- use the latest version of the score sheet weekly
when making rosters.
9) Administrative- For Presidents’ Day, all clubs will be allowed 3 members and a pro for the competition in addition to any past presidents. If there is room, the host club may allow additional players not in the competition.
10) Waiving of rules- In any given match, only league rules relative to playing that match may be waived by mutual agreement of the
opposing governors or a captain in the absence of a governor unless specified otherwise.
11) Substitution after deadline on Tuesday- If a player drops out after the Tuesday deadline he may be replaced. The player that replaces him plays at his own index, unless it would violate the 8 index differential in which case the higher indexed player would adjust his index accordingly to comply.
12) Rain delay- After the 30 minute waiting period, the host and visiting governor, along with the club pro and groundskeeper shall decide to start play, or suspend play. If both governors agree, they may extend the waiting period.
