Board Meeting at Boca Woods on July 9, 2024

The meeting was called to order at 8am by President Larry Stone. Role was called by Elliott Frieberg and all Clubs were present except for Boca Lago. A motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting was approved.
 

Treasurer Sandy Cohn is incapacitated. Larry announced there was $2,416 in the bank.

Reports were presented by two clubs not playing this summer. Hunters Run
announced that they would be back next season. Boca Pointe announced that they
would not be. A suggestion was made to possibly have Boca Pointe to play all
matches away, and that has been rejected again.

A suggestion was made to have a head’s up concerning if there were fans or GPS’ in
the carts. We agreed there is to be an outline put on the website for each club
concerning all the particulars, including mornings challenges like entrances, parking,
construction, etc.

Jay made a presentation about rules issues and offered to make a cheat sheet for
our Match Play.

 

It was suggested that the home team should have one Pro on duty
that can make a rules determination.

Larry wants to make sure Golf Genius is set up to determine the 90% of handicap off
each player’s handicap and not 90% off the low guy.

Larry asked us to consider rules changes for the next meeting in October.

 

The October meeting is on 10/8 at Delaire.
